Pleural Mesothelioma

Nearly 75 percent of mesotheliomas are initiated in the chest and are called pleural mesotheliomas. Pleural mesothelioma is the most common form of this devastating disease. This occurs when asbestos fibers enter the pleura, which is the membrane that covers the lungs, and results in the formation of malignant cells. The people most at risk of developing this rare form of cancer are construction workers who have been exposed to asbestos fibers for extended periods of time, their families, who are exposed to the asbestos fibers that collect on the clothes of the workers, and people who live or work in buildings that are insulated with asbestos material.

The risk of developing malignant pleural mesothelioma depends on several factors, such as the length of time the person has been exposed, and the nature of the asbestos fibers involved as well as the different kinds of industries. Other factors can also contribute to onset of pleural mesothelioma.

The symptoms at the initial stage can resemble that of pneumonia. When malignant mesothelioma originates in the pleural cavity, the first symptom may be a mild pain in the chest or back. When malignant pleural mesothelioma spreads, organs and tissues in the immediate area can be affected. It grows into the chest wall, muscles and ribs. The pain changes from mild, general and episodic to severe, localized and chronic as the disease progresses. Severe pain may not respond to oral doses, intravenous infusions, or intramuscular injections of analgesics or narcotics.

There are at least two other forms of mesothelioma, but pleural mesothelioma responds best to treatment. Unfortunately, the fatality rate remains high. However, extensive research is going on to alleviate the pain of mesothelioma sufferers, develop a vaccine, and treat the progression of the cancer.

Mesothelioma provides detailed information about malignant mesothelioma, asbestos and mesothelioma, mesothelioma, mesothelioma research and more. Mesothelioma is the sister site of Asbestos Exposure.

A Healthy Way to be Sick

A person who deals with a physical condition that is beyond their control has to accept an inner depth, which is uncommon in society. If all we do is try to fit into society, we ignore the unique opportunity our illness offers. Our illness forces us beyond the socially accepted depth and allows us an inner exploration most people ignore.

I am partially blind, so it is hard for me to see my outer world. This forces me to look within and explore parts of myself that are not a normal part of society. I am legally blind looking outside of myself, but most people are legally blind looking within. If I had to choose which was worst, inner blindness would be my choice. I believe it is the cause of most of our suffering.

I have had multiple sclerosis since 1981 and I have tried every possible cure that came my way. I am on a weekly shot medication today, but I have tried several diets. I do acupuncture and massage treatments regularly and I have done several alternative treatments including Bee venom and purification methods. I benefited from these treatments; but I am still legally blind with several other symptoms of multiple sclerosis.

Looking Within

Over the decades of making serious efforts to heal myself using everything that held promise, I learned a beautiful lesson. No matter who you are or what condition you are in, the silence beyond our thinking mind is an amazing resource for fulfillment. Becoming aware of that resource is what I call a healthy way to be sick.

That silence is free from disturbing thoughts and fears, giving you a shelter where you are free from your illness and the struggle you are in. It is at that depth the Wisdom of your Body responds to your medication without the distractions from your thinking mind. Even when you are dealing with a chronic illness, like multiple sclerosis, there is an inner peace at that depth. In my condition, if I was to limit my focus to my superficial thinking mind, I would easily become depressed. I am forced to go deeper.

Once I was asked how do we create the ideal state of mind? My answer was: Take away everything that isn't the Ideal State of Mind. When imperfection is removed, we have what existed before we were messed up. In other words, deep within all of us is a wisdom that may not be perfect, but is free to change and evolve. The real task we all face is to learn how can we return to that ideal state of mind.

When we rely on the wisdom of the body, we learn to accept the beauty of life. Our illness or disability may limit us as we adapt to society, but that same situation has the power to force us into a wonderful self-acceptance and that is what I think is a healthy way to be sick. From that state of mind you create an inner healing environment, where you become an active partner with your doctor.

Use your thinking mind to uplift your spirits and work with your doctor and medical team. Your thoughts were not created to depress you or limit you in any way. Thinking, like the clothes you wear can be put on or taken off. Dress up to meet the incredible challenge where you consciously participate in healing. Don't go shabby to an event that is so significant.

Ten Alternate Energy Sources To Live Well With Global Warming

Feeling hot under the collar?

Glaciers and polar ice are melting, ocean levels are rising, hot, dry weather, huge forest fires, water restrictions, crop failures?

You name it, if these don?t feature in your life yet, they soon will. Global warming and climate change are facts of life now, according to the International Panel on Climate Change, and many scientists.

Huge problems beyond our control!

But are you hot under the collar?

If you?re not, you probably live in a city where half of the Earth?s citizens live now and take much for granted. Because in city living we are far removed from natural processes that deliver our food, clothing and energy.

Does your child even know that milk comes from a cow - or a soya bean if you?re that way inclined - and not from a milk carton?

Even in the city you cannot stick your head in the sand (or under the asphalt?) and you are not immune from climate change. Witnesses are the 15,000 mostly elderly people that died in Paris alone in the sizzling hot European summer of 2003. Or the many killed in New Orleans at the ?hands? of cyclone Katrina.

And if you are hot under the collar, do you think perhaps that there will be some miraculous scientific break-through so they ever-responsible ?They? will fix the Earth? The ultimate stem cell technology maybe that can clone a new home for us!

Seriously, for many of us it is all too hard.

All we want is to live a life where we may raise our children to have a future.

A future of some predictability: of schooling, a job, a family, community, of achievements and an enjoyable life - on a healthy planet Earth.

Is this a fading dream, once a reasonable expectation?

Maybe, maybe not.

Our world is changing. There are great challenges ahead and it is too late to stop global warming. The Earth has changed and the processes it uses to regulate itself are adjusting themselves. And these changes will not suit human life as it is.

But you are not powerless.

Each person alone can change the world, one by one. Let me explain.

Do I say that these problems are under our control then?

Well, yes and no.

We are talking about a severely disabled world really.

And from the experience of disability we can learn how to survive and thrive!

?Come on, get real?, you say? Do I hear: ?Just show me the right alternate energy sources and we?ll get out of this mess.?

Yes, we desperately do need to switch to renewable energy sources that do not make a greenhouse out of our home, the Earth. But all the technology in the world will never be enough to survive and flourish>.

Renewable energy sources alone will not teach us to accept limits, unpredictability and what it is to lead a rewarding life.

How we have lived collectively, in our billions, for the last few hundred years, has got us to this point. And by changing what we do we can live through climate change as best as we might.

Even now.

It?s simple and it?s hard work. No way out of that.

Many people with severe disabilities know this. And they report the same or better life satisfaction as anyone else?under highly challenging, vulnerable circumstances.

So, we can learn to live well in a disabled world.

Regardless of what is to come you and I will be well served by the beliefs and strategies that people with disabilities use to - not just to survive - but to live well.

These are true alternate energy sources.

Those that guide us how to use what we have sustainably.

These 'disabled people' believe this:

* Accept that all of us are fragile and vulnerable
* The world is full of limits. We need some of these to live well.
* Vulnerability and dependence are an inevitable part of a whole life
* No-one is independent, but interdependent
* Connection with others is our lifeline and our wellbeing

And they do this:

* Engage with others to build positive relationship, where you live, work and play
* Pay attention to other?s needs and that of the environment
* Take responsibility for the situation you?re in
* Care for others and the environment competently
* Be assertive and use your humour and creativity

Not all people with disabilities act in this way of course. And I?d be the last to portray people with disabilities as heroes. We?re just people - trying to get on.

You try that!

Talk to that elderly woman in your street. Offer a hand when someone needs it.

Doing such small things will connect you with others and your environment.

And do also use the ?regular? renewable alternate energy sources, and recycle too.

You can change your local world by acting in these ways.

And if all fails - regardless?

Well, it?s the only way to go!

Perhaps your world might be just as hot but it?ll be cooler under your collar!

Can Your Diet Affect Your Acne?

Acne: what an annoyance. Those who are affected by outbreaks usually try every reasonable thing imaginable to both prevent and treat outbreaks. But what about your diet? You?ve heard rumors that greasy and sugary foods will lead to worse acne, but are these rumors true? Should you stop eating fast food and candy? Are there other things you should be eating?

Your diet does not dictate whether or not you will develop acne, but it can affect the severity of an outbreak. Acne is controlled by a variety of factors, so your diet cannot be the sole cause or prevention of acne, but it can be one of the factors that limit or aggravate the condition.

Eating healthier can help to control your acne. Eating foods rich with vitamins and minerals can help make your body as healthy as possible. Do not over look the importance of internal health and how it affects your external appearance. A healthy immune system can help to ward off any infections and help to control the levels of bacteria thriving in your system. Many nutrients help to clean up an neutralize free radicals that develop due to excessive sunlight, toxins and air pollutants. All of these factors lead to healthier and stronger skin cells.

There is evidence to suggest that diets high in refined carbohydrates and sugar can worsen acne breakouts. Both sugar and carbohydrates cause your body to produce more insulin and IGF-1, an insulin like growth factor. Production of both stimulate the male hormones (in both males and females) and oil. It is this oil (sebum) that fosters bacteria and fungus which lead to acne.

So as you can see, your diet is a contributor to acne, but not necessarily the main player. So your diet may affect acne, but is not the cause of. However, altering your diet can lead to small changes, and if you have ever suffered from acne, or are currently suffering from acne, you know that a little improvement goes a long way.

The Best Prescription Acne Medication

There are many different varieties of medications that are specifically designed for the successful treatment of acne, but since every person has a different skin composition and conditions can vary it is difficult to say which is the best overall prescription acne medication. Many of the popular medications contain peroxide as a means of treating acne, zits, pimples, blackheads and any other skin blemish that comes to mind and those medications are very successful for a lot of people in treating their acne. However, for some consumers those products and acne solutions just don't work or if their acne is too severe it may require a more drastic solution. It is usually best to see a dermatologist if your medication is not working, as they will have more experience than your family doctor and are more likely to have a wider knowledge of the treatments available for your particular acne strain or skin blemish.

One of the more popular prescription treatments is for a topical medication that contains retinoids. These acne medications can help to alleviate some of the problems of acne by keeping your pores clear and helping to prevent blackheads. Unfortunately, there is also a downside to topical medications as the skin may be more sensitive to the sun. This can be disadvantage if you live somewhere where the sun is out a lot or if you are going on holiday in a sunny area. Of course, it may well be worth putting up with these minor side effects if the treatment is proving to be effective at reducing or completely eliminating your acne. Whether or not this is the best prescription acne medication for you is something that you could ask the dermatologist. If your condition is particularly bad they might prescribe oral retinoids although they are not usually prescribed in mild cases of acne.

Antibiotics are thought by some people to be the best prescription medication for acne but again, this depends upon your condition and how effective your doctor thinks that they might be for you. It is not something that you should try without first consulting your doctor and getting an appropriate prescribed treatment.

It is very difficult to tell which is the best prescription medication for acne as the condition and the best way to treat it can vary widely from person-to-person. It is not a good idea to try prescription medications without the full consultation of your doctor or dermatologist. If you want to try over-the-counter treatments then it is a good idea to ask the pharmacist what treatments they would recommend and what they think may be best for your skin condition. This way you'll know that you're getting the best treatment and the right one for you.

Psychic Healing

WHAT?S THE PSYCHIC HEALING?

It?s what allows us to have a healthy mind and body. And from the spiritual point of view, psychic healing allows people to recognize their pure and luminous nature.

The being's pure nature is never contaminated, it is only darkened by the ignorance, and it is for this reason that the psychic healing is possible, and it shouldn't only be an interest of the sick persons, but an objective of the whole humanity.

At the same time psychic healing is also the capacity that has any individual of transmitting healing spiritual energy to another individual.

The healing looks for to reestablish the health there where the illness has originated, and that place is not necessarily the physical place where the ailment has shown.

A psychic healing can alleviate the pain, restore the lost functions and even improve the quality of the chronic patients' life. For that reason, it is highly advisable when a patient arrives to a plateau in his improvement, or he recovers in a smaller measure than what was expected.

The psychic healing is a way to let the past behind and walk toward God, I should say that it is not an alternative medicine itself, but rather a therapy that should be used as a complement of the treatment prescribed by the doctors in each case.

THE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE KARMA

Before anything else it is necessary to clarify what?s the karma. Karma is a Sanskrit word that means action. Not only physical action, but also thought in action and word in action.

On the other hand the karma is also the law of cause and effect, that is to say that the words, thoughts and actions of our past lives, generate impressions in the causal body, which then are manifested as the karma by which we have to go through in this life (we must also add to it the karmic consequences of what we do in this life)

Talking about the psychic healing, we can say that the illnesses that we suffer in this life, are the karmic consequences of what we did in the past. That is to say that when the karma matures, the illness manifests itself.

We all have a nature that is pure, luminous, and that it is not contaminated by any mental factor, but when the poisons of the attachment and the ignorance, become part of our mind as a karmic consequence, the physical manifestation of the illness takes place.

IS THE KARMA THE ONLY CAUSE OF ILLNESSES?

NO, there are four different causes for the illnesses:

The environment: where all kinds of illnesses transmitting microorganisms exist (that attack us faster when there?s lack of hygiene and stress).

Bad feeding: not well balanced diets, insufficient and inadequate feeding (excess of fat, consumption of red meats, alcohol, excess of fried food, etc.)

Subtle energy: Subtle negative energy that can come from other human beings and from the astral plane.

The karma: although I have highlighted it as the fourth item, the karma is in fact not only a source of illnesses, but a source that contains and causes the three previous causes.

The emotions, the attitudes and the beliefs, can also have a negative effect in the person's health, but the health is ultimately determined by the karma.

CAN EVERY BODY BE HEALED?

If you want a short and direct answer: YES, psychic healing can heal everybody. But this question deserves a special explanation.

If psychic healing can be applied to everybody, does that mean that all terminal sick persons can heal?

YES, the psychic healing can heal even the terminal sick persons. although they might end up dying, since the physical cure of the illness is not always possible.

The first thing that we should understand is that everybody will die in some moment, either for a terminal illness, or for a slide in the bathing tub. Then the objective of the healing is not to avoid a person death. This is outside of the reach of any human being.

The psychic healing embraces a much wider concept than the idea of avoiding the death, the psychic healing goes beyond the idea of life and the death, because in fact it is looked for to heal the mind, to heal what has caused the appearance of the karmic illnesses.

A person can recover from a sickness and not be healed from it, this way the karmic roots of that illness might make it appear again in this same life or in the following one, or they will make the person go through similar pain situations until he learns what the karma intended to teach him.

Psychic healing doesn't require the patient to believe in what the healer believes, neither that he understands what his healer does, reason why it is not a faith cure.

WHICH IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE HEALING AND THE MEDIC SCIENCE?

The psychic healing and the medic science work on two different aspects of the human being. The psychic healing looks for to eliminate the karmic causes of the illness, while the medic science look for to eliminate the physical manifestations of the illness.

Then if the doctor prescribes us a medication, it is necessary to take it and to continue in full with the treatment as he prescribed it until the end of the physical manifestation of this illness (if it is possible to achieve it) .

Once we have been able to eliminate the physical manifestations of the illness, we might consider ourselves cured, but this is not necessarily true. If the illness has had a karmic origin, and the person has not received a psychic healing, that same illness or another situation that makes the person go through the same kind of experiences, will show up again.

It is necessary to take appropriately care of the body because it is the temple of our soul, but it is also necessary to be in charge of the person's mind and to look for its psychic healing, until the person becomes an illuminated one. Then and only then it will be able to enjoy the full healing.

PSYCHIC HEALING AND ILLUMINATION

The illumination is a state in which the person is able to take contact and conscience of his true spiritual nature, and it is also said that an illuminated person is a person that has wakened up of the dream of his existence or from Maya?s illusion.

An illuminated person is a person that is able to eradicate suffering from his life, although the pain can continue being part of is existence, because the illuminated has interpreted the reality as it really is.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO HEAL?

The answer to what is required to heal could not be simpler: what is required to heal is to have a sincere desire to do good, a disinterested desire to do god to someone else.

Once you have the desire to do good, you need to offer yourself to God, so that it uses us as a healing channel.

This is the reason why the healer can not be affected by the sick person?s negative energy, neither he should fear in any way the damage of his own energy, since it is not his own energy the one that he should transmit, he is only acting as a channel for the Divine energy.

Does the healer need to be a saint or a person of superior nature?

I believe that the best answer that can be given is an image: If for a dirty channel runs water, water doesn't care how dirty it is the channel, water will always be water. And while in the physical plane the water can be contaminated, in the spiritual plane the Divine energy is always pure and uncontaminated, and it doesn't care about the purity of the channel that it uses.

WHO CAN PRACTICE PSYCHIC HEALING?

Any person that gets consciously and energetically ready can practice healing, because the power to communicate with God and to offer oneself like a tool for the healing of others, it is a helping ability inherent to all human being

It is important to remember that we don't heal with our energy, we are only the channels through which the Divine energy flows, reason why the Divine intervention doesn't conclude when we finish our healing exercise, but rather the healing continues acting on the other person for as much time as God considers it necessary.

In fact all healing exercises should go accompanied by a teaching by which we acknowledge the sick person that we will help him to establish an energetic connection with The Supreme Being, but that he can also request it without our help.

HEALING METHODS

The older healing practice that is known is the Ayurvedic Medicine that it has being practiced in India for about 3500 years. But there are many other healing arts among which we can highlight the Reiki, the Thai Chi, the Yoga, the Mind Control, the Transcendental Meditation, etc.

I have written for you two exercises that can help you in this topic (they are both in Spanish only):

How to heal yourself (CD # 34)

How to heal others (CD #39)

DURING HOW MUCH TIME MUST THE HEALING BE PRACTICED?

In some cases a single practice of the healing will be enough, but it is generally a process of progressive improvement, for that reason you shouldn't?t get discouraged if immediate results are not obtained.

The energy transferred by means of the healer transforms the patient, he will feel more calm down and confident, and he will surely have a change in its attitude and in the quality of its life.

THE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CHAKRAS

The chakras are thousands of energy centers that are distributed throughout the whole body, although there are 7 bigger chakras that are aligned along the spine, from the root, to the crown.

Most of the healing methods among which we can highlight the Acupuncture, the Do In, the Shiatsu, and the Reflexology work over the energy points of the smaller chakras, but as the Aura is an energy that depends on the energy flow of the chakras, you can work on any part of the body to produce a healing.

The chakras of a healthy person are open and they work in a harmonic form, affecting this way all the functions of the body. While in a sick person they are blocked or they work in insufficient way.

The base of the healing is the restoration of the good flow of the energy through the chakras.

HEALING IN GROUP

When a group of people unites themselves to request for the healing of a person, the healing effect is increased because the multiple channels through which the love of all the participants and the Divine energy work, are united.

And when the healing is practiced using the visualization, then the physical limitations of the distance disappears, that is to say that a healer may heal people that are not physically next to the healer.

The distance healing is something that today is more easily accepted by the western science, since the experiments of the French Quantic Physical Alain Aspect, have demonstrated that: even when a couple of subatomic particles are separated in the space, what happens to one of the particles can have effect on the other ones.

There have also been carried out experiments where the DNA of donors located 80 Km away from the donors, have reacted in the same way than the donors, under emotional stimulation.

HOW ARE THE HEALINGS PRACTICED?

The basic procedure for he healing it is to place the hands of the healer over the affected person's sick area, and to imagine that God uses us like a channel, so that through our hands the positive energy is transfused to the patient.

When the hands imposition technique, is practiced with the positive visualization, then the healing becomes a tool that can be used to help distant patients. The use of certain symbols and rituals, as the use of candles, incense and glasses of water are more to propitiate the creation of a mental state for the healer and the patient.

The healing is in fact only a special way of praying, and in the prayer one puts the hands over the patient, and at the same time request the help of God who will ultimately decide how and when the fruits will be picked up.

Studies have proven that Rudraksha have Electromagnetic, Paramagnetic and Inductive properties varying for different mukhis or facets and on wearing a particular mukhi or a set of mukhis specific Electrical impulses are sent to the brain stimulating certain positive brain centers (brain chemicals) thereby causing a transformation in the personality, outlook, charisma, and confidence of the wearer. It was also found that wearing Rudraksha beads controlled heart beat, in turn smothering the amount of blood going to the brain. It can be noted that at times of high stress and lack of focus there is a gushing of blood circulation to the brain and vice versa. With the help of these beads a kind of Tranquility, Concentration and Focus was easily achieved. It is found that those wearing Rudraksha beads have among other benefits also found the Stress levels reduced to unexpected levels something which was possible only with heavy and continued dose of tranquillisers. Rudraksha beads emit positive vibrations flushing out all the negativity in physical and mind level.

Thousands of persons who have worn authentic Rudraksha beads have repeatedly confirmed that it has given them considerable relief from Blood Pressure, Stress, Hypertension, Depression, and other mind related problems including neurotic conditions. Rudraksha has been found to boost the confidence and inner strength of the wearers significantly. Apart from the general purpose beads mostly 4,5 and 6mukhis there are more powerful Rudraksha beads from 1 mukhi till 21 mukhi each capable of aligning our mind and the positive energies around us to specific aspects like Prosperity, Creativity, Intutive Ability, Speculation, Sexual Harmony, etc. Surely Rudraksha are the wonder beads helping us perform better and lead a more successful life. Even for achieving success in business or professional carrear it has been found that the blessings of various Gods/Goddesses ruling different facet Rudraksha has proved greatly beneficial and several lives have got a new direction and positive success. However we also say a lot more research certainly needs to be done to really understand the miraculous powers of this powerful bead.

Rudraksha is a seed of a fruit which is covered with a pulp and an outer skin. The skin is green in colour like a banana skin, but when plucked from the tree and allowed to remain as it is, the colour of the skin turn blackish blue. The diameter of the seed is upto 1inch and is nearly round in shape and belongs to the Elaeocarpus Ganitras family. The seed can have `1 to 14 mukhis or facets but Rudraksha till 21 mukhis or facets have also been obtained. The mukhi or facet is easy to count and is a natural division of the seed. A mukhi is a complete line from the top to bottom of the Rudraksha. The Indian epics are full of varying effects of the various faces. Most commonly found is the 5 mukhi which contributes to almost 90% of the entire crop and as the mukhis keep on increasing the rarity of the bead also increases. Prices of the different mukhis is on the availability of the bead and not on the effect of the bead.

The Healing Arts: 18 Things Healers Learn #11 Each Moment Is A Convergence of Many Things

It?s so very easy to forget everything that happens and everyone involved is connected in some way. Most people, most of the time, fixate on one aspect of their experience to the neglect of the others. You could say this is a by-product of our human wiring that seems to say we?re meant to handle only a limited number of things at a time. This may be true, but our choices and enculturation play a major part in what we believe we can handle at any one time. How we experience ourselves in relationship to others and our environment is under more of our control than we often realize.

If you look toward indigenous cultures, you?ll find what appears to be a moment to moment awareness of much more than just the Self. One way of putting it is that the experience of Self happens within the context of a much greater whole.

In terms of their relationship with the environment, though it may not be fair to generalize, the orientation leans toward being a part of rather than separate from everything else that is. Animism, where most everything has a spirit of some sort, recognizes that just like everything else, the human has a spirit, as opposed to our dominant culture which states the only thing with a spirit is us. In Animism, ALL the spirits dance with each other.

Even in terms of time, indigenous cultures recognize this moment as the gathering place for every moment that has been experienced by the ancestors and the jumping off place for stewardship of the generations to come.

Most often, these orientations are present in indigenous languages themselves, which place the object first, rather than the subject, as in ?The box was placed by me,? rather than ?I placed the box.? There is both an implied relationship and a certain amount of mutual dependency implicit in this way of thinking.

The Lakota phrase ?Mitakuye Oyasin? speaks to this orientation. Roughly translated, it says ?all my relations.? It applies to time, to place, to weather, to person, animal, stone, plant and on and on throughout every thing or event, living or dead in the universe. It says, ?There is nothing that separates any part of this experience from another.? We are all the expression of what is.

One metaphor for this is seeing the world through the eyes of the heart.

Poets have been speaking of the consciousness of the heart since there have been poets. A commonality that they all seem to speak of is that, when you think with your heart your vision embraces the physical, emotional, spiritual and lyrical; in essence, the complete dance of life rather than one aspect of it.

Anyone who has ever been a child or in love can recall vivid periods when experiencing the environment was all-encompassing; where the senses were opened and what they saw was more than what was in front of them. The experience of the moment included everything in the periphery, both internal and external, and ?self? was a part of that, rather than the center of it all.

Can you recall times in your life when the seat of your consciousness was centered more in your chest than in your head? Where, rather than looking out through the windows of your eyes as an observer, you were an extension of your surroundings?

Today, science is showing us the heart is an organ that does far more than just pump blood. In embryonic development, both the brain and the heart are composed of atrial-neural cells; which means they each can function as either brain or heart cells. As differentiation occurs, the brain cells specialize into a strictly neurological function. While about 35 percent of the cells in the heart are devoted strictly to pumping related activity, however, the remaining 65 percent continue to function as neurological cells.

Seeing through the eyes of your heart ? experiencing that sense of convergence in the moment -- is a concept you can test out for yourself. Spend some quiet time breathing into your heart. Continue doing so until you can feel expansiveness in your chest, your heart actually beating, or the blood pulsing through your veins and arteries. Stay in that place for a few minutes, keeping your awareness on your breathing and heart. Then, maintaining that attention, look into a mirror at yourself.

By just being open to the possibility, you will begin to notice a wonderful latticework of connection that includes you, the people you?re with, and the environment that envelopes you, within the context of the time all these things are occurring.

Out of that, you begin to sense the subtleties of how the moment brings you all together. And when your intention is to promote healing, you will find more tools becoming available for you to use.

Acne Solution From a Pill

Most people believe the only way to cure their acne problem is from the outside. Well, you definitely need to keep your skin clean, but often, acne sufferers scrub too hard or use harsh chemicals to try to clean deep. This can actually make matters worse. Simply clean your face at least twice per day with a mild cleanser, especially after sweating. I keep a bottle of astringent in the shower b/c I don?t like cleaning my face with soap like some people (my husband). Soap seems to leave a residual, as far as I?m concerned. And women, I know you won?t like this, but try to wear as little makeup as infrequently as you can get away with or put up with. It just clogs your pores. When you do wear it, make sure you clean your face before you go to bed, even if it?s late. Just do a quick job!

Home remedies for acne are much better than prescriptions, especially the ones with side effects like Accutane?. You could feel sick, get liver problems, get depressed and worse yet, your child may have birth defects from using it! Be careful what you choose to cure your acne with. Read all ingredients and warnings.

Using a natural acne remedy on the inside and out is your best acne solution. For exterior cleaning, try to find a product without alcohol, as it will dry your skin. Tea Tree oil is natural, but also very strong. I wouldn?t use it for mild to moderate acne unless it had other ingredients in it to dilute it. If you have severe acne, that may work for you. An acne product that protects your skin and prevents acne from coming back is even better. There?s one listed on my web site, see below.

Now, about cleaning acne from the inside out; this may seem a bit strange to you, but a lot of acne is caused by internal imbalances and/or impurities. Chocolate doesn?t really cause acne, unless you are allergic to it, but eating junk food definitely won?t help you. Eating too many white carbohydrates creates a pasty like sludge substance in your intestines and bacteria love to stick to it, gross! That?s partly why you are told to avoid white starches and sugars, but that?s a subject for a different day.

Antioxidants, like Vitamin C, E and Alpha Lipoic Acid, are very helpful in clearing acne. Aloe Vera is an anti-viral as well as an anti-microbial, that can help cleanse you from the inside out. Hydrolyzed Collagen prevents moisture loss. Wouldn?t it be nice if you could get all these, plus DMAE, Co-enzyme Q10 and Bioperine all in one capsule you only have to take once per day? Yes, there is an acne solution from a pill! You can clear your acne from the inside out. Go to my web site to find out how.

Dr Erik Leipoldt has long been concerned about the effects of global warming. In particular he uses his own experience of severe disability in practical approaches towards alternate energy sources to survive and thrive in our environmentally disabled world.

Naural SelfDefense Against Breast Cancer Learning to Cope Successfully with Organochlorine Pollut

What are organochlorines?

Organochlorines are chemicals found in some herbicides and pesticides, in chlorine bleach and most chemical disinfectants, and many plastics, especially PVC (polyvinylchloride).

Organochlorines are implicated in causing and promoting breast cancer because they mutate genes and they cause breast cells to become more receptive to a cancer-promoting chemical called estradiol. Organochlorines weaken the immune system and lower your body?s resistance to bacteria and viruses. They also act as a negative type of estrogen in the body.

How do they enter our bodies?

Organochlorines enter our bodies through our drinking water, by eating foods grown with certain agricultural chemicals, and through the plastic linings on canned or microwaveable foods. They enter through our lungs by breathing in the fumes of chlorine bleach disinfectants and by body contact with chlorine bleached paper products such as tampons, toilet paper and paper cups.

How can we reduce our exposure?

Step One-Reduce Your Exposure

The first thing to do is to reduce your plastic consumption, especially of convenience foods. On plastic containers, there is typically a triangle with a number inside of it on the bottom of the container. You can recognize PVC or polyvinylchloride as the type of plastic that has a 3 in the center of the triangle.

As for paper products, use oxygen bleached or unbleached paper products. Companies who sell non-chlorine bleached paper products typically say so on the label and they do not necessarily market their products as ?green? products.

Buy the non-chlorine bleach and more environmentally friendly household products. Simple vinegar and water can be used for many household chores. Eating only organically produced meat and dairy products will reduce the amount of organochlorines in your diet by 80%.

Step Two-Help Your Liver

With help, your liver can metabolize organochlorines. Flaxseeds and organic egg yolks contain lecithin, a chemical that speeds up the elimination of fat-soluble chemicals such as organochlorines by making them water-soluble.

Beans, lentils, red clover, soy products and chickweed contain chemicals called saponins. Saponins help to break down organochlorines, prevent cellular mutation and can stop the reproduction of cancer cells. These foods are strongly recommended for anybody who regularly consumes organochlorines.

Members of the cabbage family including broccoli, kale, turnips, radishes, cabbage, bok choy or cauliflower can help you metabolize organochlorines by increasing the production of non-cancerous by-products.

Step Three-Mother Nature?s Help

Woman-positive natural sources of estrogen can block entrance of organochlorines, estradiol and other cancer promoting estrogens when enough of them are in the blood stream. The reason behind this is that these positive hormones move quickly through our bodies whereas the cancer producing chemicals such as organochlorines move more slowly. If there are enough of these plant hormones in the blood stream, they can easily block organochlorines from attaching themselves to breast cells and from promoting cancer.

These plant hormones can be found in lentils, dried beans, tofu and fermented soy products such as tempeh and miso, parsnips, sweet potatoes, pomegranates, burdock roots, red clover, hops and ginseng. Regular intake of broccoli and cabbage is also helpful.

Post Transformation Tips

Making changes in favor of your survival and that of the environment often puts us in a period of re-adjustment, not only with the society we live in, but also with our family, friends and neighbors.

Several strategies we use to maintain positive social relations are Natural self-defense does not mean natural aggression, nor does it mean that it will cause you to develop a social disorder triggered by the existence of organochlorines. Foods and herbs that encourage natural self-defense make you lose the taste for products associated with organochlorines.

Allow self-defense foods to empower you to envision and work towards an organochlorine free future without any anger about the present situation. In other words, don?t let the forces that encourage personal and environmental negligence push your buttons.

Chose recycled plastic toys or second hand plastic toys over new ones for your children.

Send lunches in reusable containers.

Bring a bean or lentil salad to the next barbecue or potluck supper. Invite friends who use a lot of plastic and organochlorine products over to eat. Explain why you eat certain foods and what you have done to minimize your contribution to its proliferation. Relay the information in such a way that your guests feel comfortable and leave them to lose the taste for organochlorine products in their own way and time.

Use organic foods to show your body what a natural food is and have confidence that your body will use this knowledge to recognize what isn?t natural and respond appropriately to it. This is a goal that can be started even on a limited budget. The return of your natural body begins with one organic apple, especially a shared one!

Dr Erik Leipoldt has long been concerned about the effects of global warming. In particular he uses his own experience of severe disability in practical approaches towards alternate energy sources to survive and thrive in our environmentally disabled world.

Lung Cancer the Truth the Story

Lung cancer has now become the deadliest of all forms of cancer in many developed countries including the USA where about 170,000 people die from the disease each year. Worldwide this type of cancer kills an estimated 3.5 million people a year; a startling statistic when you consider it's largely preventable.

More than one billion people worldwide are smokers even though nine out of ten lung cancer deaths are caused by smoking. By the year 2020 it's estimated that as many as ten million people a year will die of smoking related diseases unless radical action is taken to curb the advance of the mega-bucks tobacco industry into Third World countries. About three quarters of those ten million deaths will be in developing nations.

Lung Cancer in the developing world

The good news for richer countries is that public health messages seem to be hitting home and lung cancer deaths are starting to decline. The bad news is that if you started smoking 40 years ago (before the dangers were widely known) and you are diagnosed with lung cancer today, you have only a slim chance of surviving more than a year. Lung cancer is rarely detected in its early stages but when it is, the prognosis is good with speedy and appropriate treatment. That is why campaigners are demanding more funding for early detection and research into new and better treatments. But the disease currently receives far less funding in developed countries than other forms of cancer which elicit public sympathy (such as breast and prostate cancer.)

Lung Cancer and passive smoking

There is a certain stigma attached to lung cancer and an attitude that the patient probably brought it on themselves. That is particularly hard for those who started smoking without knowing the health risks and for victims of passive smoking.

Thanks to government regulation and public education the long term picture regarding the reduction of lung cancer deaths in wealthier corners of the world is fairly optimistic. Not so for poorer countries which are the new targets of the tobacco moguls. Tired of being taken to court and hampered by advertising controls in countries like the USA and UK, cigarette manufacturers are now setting their sights on developing nations and governments which are easily lured by the promise of sizeable inward investment.

Recognize Breast Cancer Symptoms

The figures concerning breast cancer are alarming. One woman in every nine will get breast cancer at some point in her life. There are more than 212,000 cases of breast cancer diagnosed in the USA each year. In Canada the figure is about 20,500, Australia 13,000 and in UK the figure is over 41,000. It doesn?t matter if you are a mature women or a young girl in your teens. It is important for all females to know the symptoms of this dreaded disease.

Who is at risk?

Breast cancer is overwhelmingly a female disease, but rarely a few men are also affected. It becomes more common in women as age increases. Over 80% of the cases occur in women over the age of 50. Other risk factors include:

-taking an oral contraceptive pill
-having hormone replacement therapy
-obesity and/or high fat diets
-one or more relatives who have had breast cancer
-alcohol use

Early detection is very important

Currently, six out of every seven patients diagnosed with breast cancer are cured at an early stage. However, if they are diagnosed when the cancer has become advanced, the cure rate falls to about one in seven. It is extremely important to catch breast cancer at an early stage. Knowing the symptoms is crucial.

Common symptoms of breast cancer

Usually, early breast cancer does not cause pain. As a matter of fact, when breast cancer first develops, there may be no symptoms at all. As the cancer grows and spreads, it can cause changes that women should watch for.

Here are few symptoms one should be aware of:

-Itching in the armpit or around the breast region.
-Pink, red, or dark colored area (called erythematic) with texture similar to the skin of an orange (called peau d'orange).
-Ridges and thickened areas of the skin of nipple or breast.
-Appearance of a bruise that does not go away.
-Nipple getting inverted.
-Breast is warm to the touch.
-Pain in the breast (from a constant ache to stabbing pains).
-Change in texture as well as color of the aureole.
-Change in the shape or size of a breast.
-Dimpling of the breast skin.
-Swelling or a lump in the armpit.
-A discharge from the nipple.

On noticing any of these changes, a woman should see her doctor. However, there is no need to panic. Most often, it is not cancer. Many conditions can cause symptoms listed above. Only a doctor can make an accurate diagnosis.

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha Latin names is Withania Somniferum and Ashwagandha common name is Indian Ginseng.

Ashwagandha belongs to the pepper family and is found in India and Africa. The roots and leaves of ashwagandha are used medicinally. The health applications for ashwagandha in traditional Indian and Ayurvedic medicine are extensive. Ayurveda is made up of two Sanskrit words, Ayu, which means life, and Veda, which means knowledge. For more than 1,000 years, ashwagandha has been highly prized as a treatment for impotence, stress, infertility and arthritis. The shoots and seeds of the plant are also used in India as food, and to thicken milk. In the West, researchers have focused on isolating the one or two active ingredients in each herb. In the ayurvedic tradition, however, the entire plant is used on the assumption that all the compounds in a plant are meant to work together. Because of it's wide range of activity on many different body systems, ashwagandha has long been reputed to be an overall tonic that can promote health and vitality, much like ginseng. Ashwagandha twigs have been chewed for cleaning teeth, and the smoke of the plant has been inhaled for relief of toothaches.

Uses of Ashwagandha:

Arthritis
Asthma
Bronchitis
Cancer
Candida
Fever
Inflammations
Nausea
Rheumatism
Mental function
Stress

In general, tonics such as Ashwagandha are believed to strengthen and fortify the body so that it is better able to withstand stressful situations. In other words, it helps the body to maintain it's equilibrium, even during difficult times.

Today, ashwagandha is included in many combination formulas to treat a variety of ills. It is being heavily promoted as an aphrodisiac. A natural anti-inflammatory agent, ashwagandha may help to reduce the discomfort associated with arthritis. Ashwagandha is said to be useful in the treatment of inflammatory conditions, ulcers, and scabies when applied topically. Compounds known as withanolides are believed to account for the multiple medicinal applications of ashwagandha. These molecules are steroidal and bear a resemblance, both in their action and appearance, to the active constituents of Asian ginseng, known as ginsenosides. The pharmacological activity of the roots is attributed to the presence of several alkaloids. Many biochemically heterogeneous alkaloids have been reported in the roots. In all, 13 Dragendorffpositive components have been obtained chromatographically. They include cuscohygrine, anahygrine, tropine, pseudotropine, anaferine, and isopelletierine.

Depression and the Magnesium Deficiency Debate

Depression is a social epidemic these days. It seems that more and more people are suffering from depression than ever before. Is that because that statement is true or because our awareness of depression has grown over the years? The common result of being diagnosed with depression, either professionally or personally, is taking prescription medication to resolve the problem. What most people fail to realize is that depression is the symptom of a bigger picture. There are many vitamin deficiencies that can cause many things, depression being one of them. A Magnesium deficiency is a big culprit for most of the problems that people face, so let us take a look at how you can find out if running low on magnesium could be causing your problems as well.

A Magnesium deficiency can cause many different problems throughout the body. From the nervous system to the muscles and skin, the lack of magnesium in your body will cause major problems for your health. Things such as muscle tension, muscle soreness, twitches, cramps, neck and back pain, tension headaches and even TMJ (jawbone) dysfunction can be caused by a lack of magnesium in the body. Nervous system symptoms such as tingling, numbness and vibration sensations can be common as well. Finally, things like constipation, menstrual cramps, sensitivity to loud noises and changes in light, cravings for salt and chocolate and even carbohydrates can trigger a red flag in your mind as you are reading this.

So the laundry list of things that can result from a deficiency in magnesium is enough to scare even the toughest of skeptics. So why are people breaking down the doors of their therapist to get their hands on prescription medication? Maybe its a lack of knowledge or maybe people are looking for the band-aid fix and not looking at the major problems. We need to take a step back and find the things that our diets are lacking, the things that will make us better as a whole and figure out what we need to do to make ourselves healthy again. But that really is a totally different topic for another day. So until then, visit our website and see how magnesium and vitamins can help you achieve a healthier lifestyle. The Alpha Centering Sound

THE ALPHA RYTHM

Our brain wants to lock in on every impulse that it hears. One noise produces one brain impulse, two noises: two impulses. Ten noises: ten impulses. The brain responds to what it hears.

The Alpha sound is a constant sound, and the brain wants to follow it at the same rhythm, and this is what produces the desired effect of entering into the deeper levels of the mind

Some people say that if you relax and meditate while playing soft music in the background, that will relax you. But the soft music goes to the left brain, and so it just relaxes your mind but not your brain, because it does not slow down the frequency of the brain.

And soft music does not produce a constant frequency, it is fluctuating. And for practicing mind control and a deep relaxation we don't want the brain to be fluctuating back and forth following the frequency of the music sounds.

We need the brain to decrease its pulse imitating a low constant frequency, a monotonous hypnotic sound.

And when our brain detects 10 sounds per second - with the alpha sound - it reacts 10 times each second. This is how the Alpha sound can help you reach the inner levels of the mind.

CAN WE HEAR AN ALPHA SOUND?

As a matter of fact we can?t hear an Alpha sound, because the Alpha frequency is 10 cycles per second, and the human brain?s hearing range goes from 20 to 20,000. So the alpha sound is below the threshold of the human being.

What it?s known as the Alpha sound, is the sound produced by a 600 cycles audio generator interrupted 10 times per second. So it?s not really an Alpha sound but it produces the same effect.

WHAT?S THE ALPHA SOUND FOR

Mind Control students are told that in order to receive maximum benefits, they should enter into the deep levels of the mind for 15 minutes, three times a day, and the Alpha sound helps them reach and maintain that level.

When you practice during 15 minutes three times a day at the alpha level, that strengthens your immune mechanism and helps you keep healthy.

Using the Alpha Sound you can remain at your center while doing your own programming at your own pace. And when you do it, you can reach even a greater depth because you can be less dependant on a recording and become more involved with your inner self.

Many of my students reported that they have received healing benefits using the Alpha Sound. Some of them say that the alpha sound induces a faster recovering from injury and illness.

The way they use the Alpha sound to induce healing is holding the speaker of the player very close to the body (about a quarter of an inch) while playing the Alpha Sound at full volume.

Does this have any scientific base?

Scientists say that the electromagnetic pulsations coming out from a magnetic field, can stimulate (excite) subatomic particles, and that this stimulation is what it helps in the correction of problems.

And any speaker has a magnetic field that can be modulated to pulse at ten cycles per second if you play the Alpha sound. And if you place it close enough to the body (not against the body because you will mute the sound), then every cell within the afflicted area will receive a ten cycles per second magnetic-field massage.

How much time and how often should you do this?

The best is to place the Alpha sound over the afflicted area three times a day, fifteen minutes each time.

After those fifteen minutes of Alpha sound stimulation, you must allow time to the sub-atomic particles to settle back down and naturally return to their original health state.

Some people think that if some Alpha sound stimulation is good, then a lot of stimulation will be better. But this is not necessarily so. You must give the body time to make the corrections, and they are supposed to be maid between sessions.

My Alpha sound CD does not contain any guided exercise with instructions on how to reach the deep levels of your mind, because it has being created to help you do your own programming at your own pace, or to practice with it as a healing means.

Acne Problems

Acne lowers the self-esteem and self-confidence of a person. The person affected by acne usually finds it difficult to mingle with friends and colleagues. The acne problem is always in the back of his or her mind. Most of the people have acne in the face, cheeks and neck, which are easily visible. This lowers a person?s self-confidence.

Though acne is a small bump in your skin, it could make a person feel shy and could even keep a person indoor most of the time. It is advised to get it treated with the help of a dermatologist who would recommend proper medications, which would heal and prevent acne. There are lot of do?s and don?ts, which have to be followed if you have acne. No scratching, cutting, pressing etc as it could worsen the acne and aggravate the condition. In the long run the acne could leave a scar on your face, which cannot be treated.

Some people think eating chocolates, ice creams, pickles etc could make the acne worse, but it is a myth and taking these won?t harm or aggravate the skin condition. Whether you are a teen or an adult, acne could dent your confidence levels and make you depressed.

Cardio Befoe Bed?

?I seem to be finding myself doing cardio before bed due to a hectic schedule and time constraints as of late.

Are there any problems with this?

Well there are a few good reasons not to cardio right before bed. My experience is that cardio near bedtime lowers the quality of my sleep significantly. It takes me forever to get to sleep if I do cardio within 1 to 2 hours of bedtime, and I'm more likely to wake up at night.

Furthermore it seems athletes get that 2nd wind or rush after a workout which would cause your mind and body to be too energetic for sleep. Diet can also play a big part in this as well, but I?ll save that for another time.

Ideally, you want to have your cardio in at least 3 hours before bed. This will give you time to have a last meal before bed and for it to digest properly. Going to bed on a full stomach is not a good idea, and though some, like myself, sleep better with a full stomach, the majority do not.

Depending on your goals, cardio should be done first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, or when ever your schedule allows.

Aerobic Activity Burns Fat

Aerobic activity is any exercise that helps you use oxygen more efficiently. It gets your heart pumping faster, makes you sweat and quickens your breath. When you raise your heart rate your body begins to burn stored carbohydrates and fatty acids for energy.

Aerobic activity is very effective in controlling your weight and is an ideal way to burn calories. Research shows that a regular aerobic routine, combined with healthy eating habits is the best way to maintain a healthy body.

Did you know that the heart is a muscle? That means you can make your heart stronger and more efficient. A regular aerobic routine will give your heart the kind of workout that will help it do a better job of delivering oxygen to all your organs.

Exercise doesn't have to be expensive to be effective. Any activity that raises the heart rate and is maintained for at least 20 minutes is considered aerobic. It can be different types of exercise like jogging, biking, rowing, swimming, dancing or even brisk walking.

The best workout routine is one that you enjoy doing because you will continue to do something you enjoy. If you vary the different types of exercise it will help keep it fun and exciting. For the best results, do some type of aerobic activity at least 3 to 4 times a week.

Aerobic exercise helps burn fat calories, increases your metabolism and if done on an empty stomach forces your body to recruit energy from stored fat cells. When you have finished your workout routine your metabolism will remain elevated for about 30 minutes. That means you continue to burn calories after you finish exercising.

If your goal is to control your weight, exercise your heart, strengthen your muscles or just feel healthier, a low-fat diet and regular aerobic activity will help you achieve and maintain a well toned and fit body. When you exercise the brain releases endorphins that put you in a better mood, make you feel happy and isn't that what life is all about?
